I was born and lived in Australia for fifty-two years. I have two adult sons and one grandson who live in Ballarat, Victoria, Australia. I love them dearly. Why live here in Tucson, Arizona, while my loved ones are on the other side of the world? Ken and I met online at a church website twenty years ago. When we met, we married, and the love has grown deeper. It was he, who has encouraged me to pursue my dreams as an author. Also, the loving words my mother shared with me before she died, “Don’t give up your writing.” That comment has always stayed with me.
I never had any great desire to write a book. Actually, I thought it was beyond me. But my love for bringing words together to tell a story won over.
I have always enjoyed both English and Australian history. Writing Unbreakable Bonds: A Journey of Love and Friendship and Edward and Catherine: Entitled Justice has been partly a result of that love. Bringing a connection between my English and Australian Ancestors has been a joy for me.
I completed a Professional Writing and Editing Degree back in Australia when I was forty. As part of my coursework, I was challenged to write a short story. The outline for Unbreakable Bonds: A Journey of Love and Friendship was the result of that challenge, though it was only a few thousand words. Little did I know at that time, that Unbreakable Bonds: A Journey of Love and Friendship would develop into a novel.
